My original idea was to do this Trading Spaces-style - with only a $1,000 budget. But I quickly realized I would have to sacrifice quality or number of items to achieve that number. I'd rather show you a truly complete room for a slightly higher price! (Also in TS, they got to reuse stuff the owner already had and just paint it!) Anyway, I love the white/gold/blue palette here. The dining chairs are actually unfinished, so you could stain them a darker color to add some more depth to the space, or paint them a glossy white (or even navy!). Hang the plates or the wall or arrange them in this steal of a China cabinet.
